Well Versed

What happens when your first heartbreak is waiting for you in the middle of a Renaissance Faire? Caitlin Parker is twenty-four, unemployed, and back in her childhood bedroom, forced to return to the Willow Creek Renaissance Faire—the very place where her teenage heart was shattered. Now working as a lady-in-waiting, she is trying to navigate her adult life while surrounded by the magic and whimsy she thought she left behind.

The return of Alexander Wright complicates everything. He is the sword-fighting, Shakespeare-quoting man who broke her heart years ago, and he is back on stage, more charming and annoyingly handsome than ever. While Alex is determined to right the wrongs of their past summer fling, Caitlin is convinced that growing up means abandoning the fantasy world of the Faire for real-world responsibilities.

In Well Versed by Jen DeLuca, two former lovers must decide if they can bridge the gap between their theatrical world and the harsh realities of adult life. As the summer winds down, they face a choice: let go of the past once and for all or find a way to make their shared future a reality where they can finally say huzzah together.
